During a public appearance to a cathedral in Staffordshire on the start of the week, King Charles was heckled by a protester who questioned him about Prince Andrew's links with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The man demanded to know how long the King had been aware about his brother's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the authorities to "conceal" for Prince Andrew.

Despite the protest, there were large groups of fans and cheers for the monarch, who was in the region for an engagement.

Prince Andrew's connections with Jeffrey Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in the past few weeks. The prince, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has categorically denied any wrongdoing.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for Andrew?"

The King remained silent but continued greeting fans, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard requesting him for a hug.

Another woman outside the venue was also heard telling the heckler to "leave" and to "shut up".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The scandal over Prince Andrew's connections to Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited by sexual abuse claims detailed in Virginia Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the memoir, the accuser claims she had sex with the royal on three separate occasions, including one instance with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with Ms Giuffre in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "did not have any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions About Finances and Housing

But recently, new inquiries have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a working royal.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has heightened the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for renovations.

The political party said he should be called in before MPs to give testimony about his rental agreement of his lodge.

But last week, the government declined to give MPs time to discuss the royal's titles or his home, despite growing pressure for scrutiny.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might reside.
